Today is up for Grabs – Personal Branding Lesson from Adidas

Today’s personal branding lesson comes to us not from celebrities, but from sports – more specifically, Adidas’s new ad campaign #TakeIt. The creative message from the ad campaign is that “Every split second in sports presents a new chance for you to redefine yourself and your team” (source: ADWEEK).

The same analogy applies to opportunities presented to you on a daily basis. The fact that you live to see another day presents you with another chance to make a difference, to be better, to challenge your self … The ad talks about yesterday’s victories, and I’d include yesterday’s losses, yesterday’s failures … they all mean nothing. You used the past tense to talk about them! They’re history! Luckily for you no one has yet claimed the future, let alone the present! “Today’s up for grabs”, so what are you waiting for … every second counts!
